Monokuma feels off without the Despair vs. Executions are decent, the usual weirdness is there.
DANGANRONPA KILLING HARMONY BAD END SERIES
Some cases are fantastic, V3 has some of the best murders mysteries of the series on the other hand, some are pretty streched, forced, and/or predictable (i.e. Panic Debates despite being more realistic are just chaotic in this game, most of the characters are just spouting gibberish while you're the one panicking trying to end it asap.

Debate Scrums are stupid, require no thinking and the fact you're always on the correct side is annoying. Perjury is an interesting concept, but it was poorly worked: the back routes could be interesting but are way too short to the point of feeling more like an easter egg than a feature I also don't like the fact it isn't optional at some points. The new minigames are not an improvement, they still feel somewhat the same from the previous games, not appealing but kinda nice to break the monotony of a tiring class trial. After two incredible main games, with interesting twists and (some) memorable characters, the start of a new saga unrelated to the Hope's Peak Arc fills everybody with hope and despair. With all the hype built through the years that preceded the release, the expectations were high for this game. A futuristic setting with a fresh theme of Lies vs. Sharing the same problems as the infamous case: the lack of a coherent story, and characters that feel bland and stupid amidst mistimed nonsense comic relief. This game is pretty much a 40 hours long version of case 2-3 (Turnabout Big Top) from the Ace Attorney series but with a terrible tryhard meta ending. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. It is a shame because there are some good characters, the music is bopping, and the art is seriously improved from the last games so it is by no means a lost cause or bad game, but sadly it had big shoes to fill. The ending was also anticlimactic and can leave people feeling hollow instead of hopeful and the game overall relies more on cheap fan service.

DANGANRONPA KILLING HARMONY BAD END TRIAL
While this one had better trial mechanics, this one had fewer likeable characters and was often predictable if you remember the events of the first 2 games to the point you can guess which character will be killed off and know who not to bother getting attached too early. The ending was also anticlimactic and can leave people feeling hollow instead of A step down from Danganronpa 1 and 2. … ExpandĪ step down from Danganronpa 1 and 2. All in all a strong title that consumes well more than 40 hours (45+ for me) and I enjoyed it greatly. It's not a bad story by any means, though and it is likely that other people might disagree with me. The story is also relatively less likable to my taste compared to the previous entries and I even include Ultra Despair Girls in that. I strongly recommend to play the first two games in the story before this, as the games has a lot of references to the past games in the series and becomes very meta towards the end. It also introduces the lie as a crucial and unusual game concept, throughout the story as well as in the class trials. On top of the familiar deep story and the mini games it adds a few new mini games and interesting ways to interact with the game. I This is the 3rd and probably last (?) iteration of the Danganronpa series, which is a mix of visual novel, mini games and dating sim.
